- Ensure timely and accurate presentation of financial statements and analytical reports.
- Perform month-end closing cycle activities for new engine development programs including preparing monthly journal entries, preparing financial statements, and reporting results to management.
- Provide project cost management services such as cost estimates and invoice analysis.
- Prepares various management reports, financial comments and provide any key data as requested.
- Coordinate the forecast process, gathering and assessing data from various sources and managers to compile the forecast of future trends.
- Participate/assists in projects related to plant accounting processes.
- Participates in Physical inventory counts, quarterly statistical audits, and cycle counts.
- Ensures compliance with internal control policies and keeps accounting procedures updated.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to include critique of current business processes and recommend and operationalize improvements.
- Lead Sarbanes-Oxley and internal control program: testing and documentation including sample selection, support collection, and testing according to PACCAR methodology.
- Maintains effective oral and written communications, externally and internally.
- 3-5 years' of progressive accounting experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong collaboration, analytical and accounting skills, attention to details.
- Strong PC skills including advanced MS Excel (charts, pivot tables, Power Query etc.) and Access skills
- SAP/ERP system experience desired.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Internal Controls
- Strong affinity to continuous improvement and change management
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in specific deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
- Must have demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a 'Big picture” focus and drive for continuous improvement
- Must be a hands-on self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
