- Will be under the general direction of one or more design and manufacturing engineers with the opportunity to exercise considerable autonomy in completing tasks and driving projects forward.
- Provide support for research and development efforts in RF, electrical, and mechanical design, including the fabrication, testing, measurement, and troubleshooting of antenna prototypes.
- Collaborate with engineers to provide manufacturability input during design stages and contribute to design improvements for production antennas.
- Perform standard duties and tasks and will resolve routine questions and problems independently.
- Work will be performed under general direction on a day-to-day basis and will be reviewed upon completion.
- Develop thorough technical solutions to a wide range of problems and may direct less-experienced employees.
- Must be able to relate well with other people both from the engineering and production ranks both verbally and in written form.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relatable work experience.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Ability to develop a wide range of R&D-support capabilities, to get involved in either multiple programs or multiple aspects of the same program.
- Experience working with test and measurement equipment (i.e., scales, torque wrenches, calipers, and micrometers).
- Experience with auto, auto body and carpentry work apply well for the fabrication and assembly skills needed for this position.
- Experience with various hand and power tools.
- Experience with wood working equipment such as panel saws, table saws, planers, routers and other various equipment.
