- Execute proper maintenance & repair to ensure vehicle safety
- Create and enforce fleet safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Collaborate with HR and the Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety requirements
- Investigate vehicle-related incidents and implement corrective actions, as needed
- Partner with Program Managers to assess & fulfil ongoing vehicle needs and to develop & execute vehicle acquisition strategies (i.e., lease vs. purchase)
- Manage acquisition, registration, licensing, vehicle staging with equipment (e.g., decals, telematics, beacon, etc.) , and deployment into programs.
- Oversee vehicle disposition at end of lifecycle (eol)while optimizing eol costs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize vehicle uptime/availability • Review & approve repair orders for cost effectiveness and quality
- Set-up & manage vehicle telematics and reports to Program Managers • Maintain accurate service, inspection, and compliance records
- Develop and manage the annual fleet budget, including fuel, maintenance, leasing, and insurance costs
- Analyze fleet data to identify opportunities to reduce expenses and increase efficiency
- Provide regular reports to the CFO/COO/Dir., Operations and senior leadership on fleet performance and costs
- Build and maintain good working relationships with outside vendors, leasing companies, and service providers
- Partner with Program Managers to ensure fleet resources align with operational needs
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for fleet operations and performance
- 3–5+ years of proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Proficiency in fleet management and telematics software, plus Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
- Experience managing a fleet of 30+ vehicles
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction and efficiency initiatives
- Office-based with regular visits to vendor/field locations
- Normal range of vision, hearing, and manual dexterity for communication and reporting
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs
