Our brands portfolio includes L'Oréal Professionnel, Kerastase, Redken, Matrix, Biolage, Mizani, L'Oreal Technique and Pureology.What You Will Do:The Assistant Vice President, Training, Development & Academy, is responsible for architecting, governing, and executing the comprehensive vision for L'Oréal Professionnel's training and education ecosystem. This role drives the strategic planning and implementation of all core programs, including artist inductions, advanced trainings, key brand initiatives, and specialty events, ensuring best-in-class service and support is delivered by artists, full-time educators, and field sales teams This position directly manages the US Training Team and works in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Field Education and Brand VP Education to achieve the highest standards in line with the L'Oreal Professionnel strategy.
  • Architect and govern comprehensive artist talent strategy, overseeing the strategic engagement, performance management, and cultivation of future and contracted artists, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with brand objectives through robust development pathways and immersion programs.
  • Orchestrate the strategic planning and flawless execution of major brand shows and events, encompassing meticulous budget governance, talent acquisition, and seamless cross-functional collaboration with event teams to ensure impactful large-scale activations.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of a unified education training strategy, driving the development and deployment of both in-store and digital initiatives, including high-impact collateral, strategic talent placement, and training artists to effectively leverage digital platforms.
  • Drive the strategic identification, cultivation, and placement of talent, establishing robust pipelines and succession plans to ensure a continuous influx of high-potential artists while optimizing their utilization based on in-depth field analysis and market needs.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment across all initiatives, ensuring integrated execution of talent, education, and event strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Oversee comprehensive budget management and resource allocation for strategic initiatives, ensuring financial prudence and maximizing the impact of investments across artist programs, educational deployments, and brand activations.
  • Formulate and execute annual strategic plans for key retail partners, such as Ulta, ensuring robust support for major conferences and meticulous budget management to maximize return on investment.
What We Are Looking For:Required Qualifications:
  • High School graduate.
  • Current cosmetology license
  • At least 7- 10 years of education and/or professional beauty industry experience.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of activity, with adaptability to changing demands
  • Knowledge of business and educational aspects of organization
  • Ability to plan, develop, and adhere to budgets, for all field training activity and T&E
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel (minimum 50% TBD)
  • Ability to be flexible, proactive and impact change
