The Shop Foreman is responsible for directing and monitoring the assembly and configuration of all components of
electronic security systems. The Shop Foreman is also responsible for directly performing a wide variety of skilled shop
tasks.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the interpretation of plans, schematics, specifications, wiring diagrams, and functional block diagrams
- Monitor troubleshooting of issues as needed
- Manage the process to receive, verify, organize, and segregate all equipment delivered for each project
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition and maintain inventory of this equipment
- Assemble all electronic components in racks, enclosures, or free-standing for each project
- Monitor labels for each project, including HMI stations, CPUs, racks, wires, and any other equipment
- Manage test sheets and oversee factory testing of all points and systems
- Help manage consumable inventory including material sign-out/project assignment, ordering, and forecasting of
- Photograph each equipment assembly, pallet, bundle, box, etc. prior to shipment and catalog in corresponding
- Complete daily and weekly planning and scheduling of work activities for the team based on level of skill and
- Complete daily reports when required
- Participate in project-specific safety initiatives and proactively identify safety concerns; perform safety checks
- May need to act as project lead and/or point of contact for CML depending on the project
- Manage all necessary project compliance, including inspections and certifications
- Effectively plan and effectively manage tasks to minimize unexpected and urgent situations
- Maintain a clean, orderly and organized shop
- Operate tools and machinery as required
- Partner with HR in the interview process, select and hire talent to support the department
- Manage employees, to include assigning tasks, reviewing work and providing feedback
- Provide support to employees’ career development
- Engage in the performance management process to correct employee performance as needed
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
- Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
- Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3 years of related experience preferred
- Strong skills in MS office, word, excel, outlook, etc.
- OSHA -10 Certification
