- Actively participate in the resident's care plan.
- Create and maintain meaningful, professional relationships with residents and their families.
- Support and encourage the resident's involvement in decision-making.
- Assist with therapies and treatment under the direction of licensed personnel.
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assisting with monitoring/feeding of meals and nourishments, depending on the specific needs and requirements of each resident.
- Assist with range of motion exercises, practice infection control techniques, and observe for an report to licensed personnel changes in resident condition.
- Accurately obtain and record vital signs and other resident data and documenting intake and output records.
- Perform basic nursing procedures.
- Reposition residents lifting up to 60 lbs. and reaching a minimum of 36" for resident repositioning or to access supplies.
- Maintain clean and sanitary spaces in the household including residents' rooms and common spaces.

- A combination of education and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis. Experience must be relevant to the position.
- Valid Washington state license to practice as a nursing assistant certified.
- Active status on Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) Registry.
- Must be proficient in the English language and be able to read, write and speak English.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must successfully complete, within mandated timeframes, employee orientation and all other mandatory annual, in-service, and other required training.
- Must become familiar and comply with all DVA policies and procedures and Collective Bargaining Agreements as applicable.
- Must sign the confidentiality statement for all employees.
