We are seeking caring professionals for all grade levels for the 25-26 School Year.At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a Substitute Para Educator (Teacher Assistant), you contribute to this mission by providing assistance with classrom instruction and assisting students who may need a little extra help. You will work as part of a team that serves 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena.Some of what you will do:
  • Promote a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in the para educators (teacher assistants) absence.
  • Provide assistance for individual students and/or small groups based on lesson plans.
  • May assist in the maintenance of appropriate student records.
Who we are looking for:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working with school aged children is preferred.
Substitute Para Educators (Teacher Assistants) enjoy a flexible schedule and preference of location and assignment. Opportunities for short and long term coverage!
