
Mechanical Engineer

- Support new development and manufacturing efforts in mechanical design and implementations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in material selection for underwater applications with corrosion considerations, structural analysis, electronic packing, CAD, and solid modeling.
- Communicate designs and issues to each corresponding department.
- Research, develop, and plan designs of mechanical and electromechanical products for underwater applications.
- Oversee and coordinate activities involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
- Support Sales and Marketing Departments with engineering special quotes.
- Provide documentation for manufacturing support and design.
- Estimate labor and cost of materials for designs and applications.
- Build prototypes and test fixtures for new designs or update existing designs and products.
- Perform project management duties as assigned.
- Communicate and support efforts across departments with mechanical designs and implementations.
- Proficiency in CAD and solid modeling, specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
- Knowledge of Enterprise PDM (EPDM) in support of 3D modeling tools.
- Manufacturing/Design experience with marine products.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3 years with a Master's degree, or 0 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field.
- Familiarization with mechanical engineering standards.
