- Foster and Drive a results-orientated CIP environment and mindset of operational excellence across all functions at the Dayton Titanium Foundry. Review, analyze, plan, communicate, and execute on plant-wide CIP recommendations.
- Provide engineering/technical support to site leadership concerning CIP projects, Quality and Production at Dayton Titanium Foundry.
- Provide a leading role in maintenance and repair process that negatively impact the foundry.
- Process and disposition non-conforming returned material. Recommend CIP that aligns with mitigating future non-confirming returned material.
- Administer the CMTR (Chemical and Mechanical Test Result) Certification program, engage with customer and resolve any inquiries related to materials certification. Dispatch samples to outside laboratories.
- Maintain support of ISO Quality System and assist in internal/external audits and resolution of Corrective Actions associated with the Dayton Titanium Foundry.
- Work with customers to process orders in a timely and effective manner.
- Be willing to attend educational trainings and seminars.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Foundational knowledge of materials and mechanical properties
- Takes ownership and questions the status quo to achieve results that are beyond what expected
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as a Leader to drive CIP initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams with proven track record of successful completion and attainment of project goals
- Must possess analytic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to write technical reports and translate technical information/data to non-engineering associates
- Ability to work with a broad cross section of people from top managers, hourly work force and internal and external customers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy while handling multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational and work/project planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science is preferred
- 2-years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong preference for metals and/or foundry experience
- Knowledgeable of foundry processes such as investment casting, welding, heat treatments, HIP, and grinding operations
- Proficient in the metallurgy of reactive metals including titanium and zirconium
- 2D/3D CAD Experience
- Familiarity with Industry Standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO)
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
