(English) (Spanish)Job Description:Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department based in Mobile, ALThe Facilities Maintenance Technician performs routine repairs and general maintenance in an extensive range of areas within the facilities under minimal direction. Work within established procedures and processes under both verbal and written instructions. This position performs- general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.Meet the team:The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities help assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.Your challenges:Day to day facility operations: 90%Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texturePaint surfaces according to instructions with various toolsUses drywall 'mud', plaster/compound and spackle to patch minor holes/cracks in walls and ceilings.Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.Reconfigures, installs, and adjusts office modular furniture and work spaces.Plans repair work using the building's blueprints or equipment manual as needed.Performs routine maintenance on building infrastructure and/or building systems.Troubleshoots issues to resolve vital repairs.Inspects/repairs damaged interior infrastructure surfaces as needed.Performs general maintenance on doors, door closers, and related equipment as assigned.Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.Proactively inspects and identifies areas in need of repair.General locksmith repairs and key controlResponds to work requests in a timely mannerAdherence to all health and safety precautions.Additional Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned: 10%Your boarding pass:Education:High School Diploma or GED plus 3 + years general maintenance experience requiredExperience:Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.Ability to use hand tools and power tools.Ability to assist with office moves that require breaking down, moving and reassembly of furniture.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Must be able to set up and take down ladders and use fall protection as required by job tasks.Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces, assists others as part of the maintenance team as required and performs other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.Establish, maintain, and develop positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.Travel Required:10% Domestic and InternationalThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Company: Airbus Americas, Inc.Employment Type: Fixed termExperience Level: ProfessionalRemote Type: On-siteJob Family:Job Posting End Date: 04.25.2024Airbus provides equal opportunities to all individuals seeking assignment with Airbus without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetics, pregnancy, marital status, veteran status or other legally protected status.
