- Financial Consultation: Provide service to members to meet their financial needs. Conduct full financial wellness reviews with members and make tailored recommendations. Educate members on personal and business accounts, as well as digital products and services.
- Operations Support: Perform teller transactions, account opening, and maintenance. Utilize resources and technology to create efficiencies and optimize the member experience. Support branch operations, including maintaining the vault, cash ordering, ATM/IBK balancing, and end-of-day balancing.
- Sales Initiatives: Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services, secured and unsecured loans, credit cards, Home Equity loans, and lines of credit. Serves as a Branch Sales Champion to connect members and businesses with Wealth Management.
- Lending Operations: Drive consumer and equity lending requests from origination to closing to ensure error-free loan documentation. Support the branch team in achieving lending goals and provide quality assurance support.
- Business Development: Call on book of business, set appointments, follow up on referrals, and make onsite visits to obtain new business and deepen relationships. Deepen partnerships with business accounts and work with branch management to expand offering to our partners.
- Compliance & Training: Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable compliance, operational, and risk controls with attention to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the SAFE Act. Analyzes third party documentation such as personal and business tax returns. Provide on-the-job training and support for new and existing MRAs.
- Community Engagement: Act as a Navigant Credit Union ambassador in the community and at business-related functions.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Banking Experience: At least 3-5 years in member service representative or relationship banker in a financial institution.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to clearly explain financial products, with a service- oriented mindset, and a willingness to educate members on products and services.
- Sales Experience: Direct work with customers relating to products and/or services. Ability to overcome objections and deescalate customer interactions.
- Loan Processing: Understanding of loan origination, underwriting, and documentation.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in banking software, Microsoft Office products, and online tools. Familiarity with lending software a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Ability to multi-task and provide support for all branch operations.
- Team-Oriented: Strong team focus and serve as a positive role model for staff. Collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a positive, member-focused team.
- Other: Must be able to travel within the credit union's footprint based on business needs.
