- Leads one or more cross-functional Finance project teams or workstreams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across team members, including developers, analysts, testers, system administrators, LOB representatives, which may include directing third party resources and virtual teams.
- Orients members of the project team on Key’s adaptations of the Agile and Waterfall Project Lifecycle Framework.
- Supports business case development; performs project prioritization as required; creates funding plan; and administers project pipeline checkpoints to drive delivery and mitigate/resolve bottlenecks.
- Works closely with IT Project Managers to ensure appropriate division of labor across the project management function and shared responsibility.
- Develops and implements project plans specific to Finance projects. Will contribute to development and management of correlated technology driven Finance projects.
- Coordinates and oversees all aspects of Finance resources project execution, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Monitor project progress to identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project delivery.
- Identifies, tracks, escalates, and resolves issue conflicts; performs impact analysis and prioritization; manages dependencies and track/monitors; and escalates risk with corrective/ mitigating actions. Leads regular risks, assumptions, issues and decisions (RAID) reviews.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure adherence to accepted project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, to effectively manage and deliver projects.
- Supports development of change management planning, design and implementation including communication and business user training.
- Manages documentation and the knowledge transfer to the “business as usual” functions; conducts “lesson-learned” reviews.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including mentoring and coaching, manages deliverable reviews and signoffs; manages documentation and the knowledge transfer to the “business as usual” functions; conducts “lesson-learned” review.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders, including business users, technology support teams, vendors, and senior management, to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in project management to drive innovation and improve project delivery processes.
- Strong relationship building abilities with middle and upper-level management, demonstrating influencing skills to drive disparate points of view to a common goal and ability to communicate complex risk issues in a credible and convincing manner.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative, and remote work environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Information Technology, Accounting or closely related field) or equivalent work experience required.
- Working knowledge and experience within the financial services industry preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of increasingly complex project management experience required.
- Applied knowledge and experience with standard project lifecycle methodologies and tools; Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, OpenText PPMC, Archer, etc.
- PMP certification advantageous not required.
- Agile CSM, CPO and SAFe certifications valued.
- Previous experience with Workday a plus
- Experienced in financial services with broad understanding of existing and emerging risks facing the financial services industry across all risk disciplines (credit, operational, compliance, market, liquidity, model, reputational and strategic)
- Highly polished and confident communication ability; possess written, verbal, and stand-up presentation skills. Adjust communications to audience.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles and high-level regulatory reporting practices.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to serve as liaison between the business areas, Finance and Risk Management
