- Oversee all activities of the Finance department including the month-end close process, financial planning, financial reporting, payroll, and cash management.
- Establish monthly, quarterly and annual budgets with capital requirements to achieve uninterrupted cash flow and to accomplish corporate financial goals.
- Establish & Maintain current corporate Investor Relations & Reporting
- Establish and maintain Corporate Accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure conformance with US GAAP and other laws/regulations.
- Manage banking and financial relationships.
- Establish and manage corporate risk management policies and priorities, insuring adequate insurance needs and cash reserves.
- Set priorities and goals for the department, hire and mentor the accounting team.
- Serve as the key technical accounting resource for the Company.
- Ensure complete and accurate tax compliance and tax accounting in conjunction with a 3rd party provider.
- Ensure accounting systems and processes are continually streamlined via process improvement to achieve greater efficiencies and accuracy in the level and timeliness of reporting (continuous improvements).
- Ensure that operational and design effectiveness of internal controls are maintained.
- Administer the commission plan. Work closely with Sales to refine the commission plan to ensure sales behavior is aligned with company objectives.
- Manage key COGS expenses in close collaboration with the operating managers.
- Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration both inside and outside of the Finance & Accounting team.
- Support the CEO on key financial decisions.
- Must have previous sales tax experience
- Solid professional experienced in financial leadership for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial high-growth Company of $12M+.
- 5 years’ experience in Corporate and/or General Accounting as the Accountant or Senior Accountant.
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience required.
- Import/Export and/or Wholesale/Retail experience preferred.
- Experience implementing ERP systems,
- Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply GAAP to new and existing transactions.
- The ability to produce quality results in an efficient manner within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Collaborative business professional adept in building cross-functional relationships to drive business results.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Salary expectations between $85,000 - $92,0000 (depending on experience)
