Pay Range $31.62 to $47.43Summary of Job Responsibilities:The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Quality Assurance Infection Control/Employee Health Specialist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining of quality assurance processes, procedures, and controls to meet established performance, quality, and safety standards. Responsible for monitoring implemented internal processes necessary to achieve and/or maintain applicable Federal, State, and Municipal accreditations, certifications, and licensures.This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.Qualifications:SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:1. Associate degree; OR equivalent training and experience.2. Certified as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.3. Two (2) years of healthcare experience.4. Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance or quality improvement.Additional Qualifications for Quality Assurance Infection Control/Employee Health Specialist II:1. Two (2) years demonstrated experience at the QA Infection Control/Employee Health Specialist I level or demonstrated proficiency.2. Certified in Infection Control (CIC)Native Preference:Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.Employee Health Requirements:Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment.
