Job DescriptionWork Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.The RoleIn this role, you will serve as Finance partner to Human Resources and Labor Relations with timely and relevant reporting and analysis that drives the most informed business decisions. The Senior Analyst will have areas of responsibility including labor strategy finance including competitive benchmarking, UAW contract costing and special labor projects involving employment cost. In addition, the Senior Analyst will be responsibility for various employment cost analysis responsibilities as neededWhat You'll DoExecute all the primary functions of ECA & Labor Strategy Finance – planning, budgeting, advising, analyzing, presenting, and decidingDevelop and present insights and well thought out recommendations to leadersDevelop and utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate risks and opportunitiesSolve problems and develop new methods of analysis to streamline decision makingSeek out and correct inconsistent data; find and fix root cause of inconsistencies, understand the driversCollaborate and coordinate information flow with other staffs and business units for optimal corporate decisionsLearn and partner with the Human Resources and Labor RelationsPresent to GM Senior Management and communicate key issues for action/decision (“the 30 second rule”)Provide accurate, timely, and reliable reporting and controlsThis job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related3+ years of financial experienceKnowledge of corporate finance principles including ability to perform balance sheet analysis, income statement analysis, cash flow statement analysis, etc.Experience with common financial tools: ROI, NPVAdvanced Excel & PowerPoint skillsStrong modeling and financial valuation skillsFamiliarity with accounting principlesWhat Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)5+ years of financial experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to coordinate and manage tasks within a broader projectWork with a sense of urgency and prioritize of projectsStrong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervisionProactively work to resolve issues and move project tasks forwardAbility to relate project with business objectives and results, integrate with business purposeTeamwork/Leadership Skills – ability to work with people within and outside groupGM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.
