- The role of Category Manager requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of ecommerce product management. The position is responsible for analyzing large data sets to identify trends, draw insights and develop recommendations for key partners. The Category Manager will serve as the in-house expert on product performance and customer experience related to area of ownership. Role will execute the product assortment strategy needed to maximize sales and drive conversion and AOV on site.
- Ability to think strategically and see the big picture while knowing how to execute plan tactically.
- Create new and/or improved business reports.
- Support both ongoing and ad hoc requests for data analysis deep-dives.
- Monitor competitive landscape and site benchmarks.
- QBR presentations to leadership
- Strategically plan product collections, pages, content updates and featured shops based on inventory needs.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to sync brand-wide strategies by utilizing the most productive content and exposing the highest conversion drivers.
- Act as a systems expert, making revenue driving optimizations to collection merchandising, on site search results, product reviews and UGC.
- Manage product launch calendar and work closely with Ecommerce Assistant to get products set up and validated on site.
- Work closely with Buyers to track incoming inventory, manage delays, and determine what goes up on pre-order.
- Work closely with customer service teams and product reviews/on site Q&A to be alerted of any product callouts and adjust accordingly to maintain a positive service experience.
- Work with warehouse on any QC needs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report with exceptional attention to detail
- Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau, Coremetrics and/or Adobe Analytics experience needed
- Expert understanding of Excel.
- Shopify experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Apparel and/or footwear industry experience highly preferred.
- Strong project management/time management skills.
- Attention to Detail
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years’ experience in ecommerce.
