We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team to help build and maintain Payzer’s AWS cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will be visible and make a difference to our team, our SaaS product, and most importantly to our customers. This challenging position requires a person who thrives working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

While preference is given to applicants local to Charlotte, NC, this position is open to remote employment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of software development and technical operations support
  • Strong AWS cloud services understanding and experience
  • Production-level experience in Terraform, Docker, ECS, ECR, and Fargate
  • Experience with monolith and micro service architectures
  • Linux and shell scripting
  • Solid on managing both LAMP stack and java service apps
  • Design, configure, and support software build/deploy pipelines (CI/CD, Git, GitLab)
  • Assist with software deployment through various staged operating environments (e.g., Development, QA, Staging, Production)
  • Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with Payzer's culture
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from end to end with minimal supervision
  • Friendly and professional with development, product, quality assurance, and management teams.
  • Bonus if experienced with compliance frameworks like PCI and SOC2
