We offer an excellent salary and benefits package to include employer paid health insurance premiums for all full-time employees, PTO and paid company holidays, 403b retirement, EAP, and year-round employee wellness and appreciation initiatives.POSITION SUMMARY:This is a professional position providing supervisory oversight for Adult Outpatient (AOP) under the Outpatient Services Division.AOP provides individual, couples', and family counseling for those affected by trauma, mental illness, or substance misuse, using evidence-based practices and research-supported interventions to restore and improve the quality of life for each individual served. All AOP programming utilizes a solution-focused, client or family centered approach and evidenced based or research supported practices to assist adults and families in problem solving skills, behavior strategies, and anger management skills, among other therapeutic interventions.The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic will play an integral role of support, coaching and guidance for a team of therapists, counselors, and certified peer recovery specialists who will be serving adults and families with mental health needs, and any co-occurring substance abuse concern and is responsible for guiding the counselors, behavioral health case managers, and peer recovery specialists .in supporting the adult or family in treatment/recovery. The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic will ensure that the therapist, counselor, and peer recovery specialist's services being delivered are individualized, recovery-focused and allow individuals the opportunity to learn how to manage their own recovery and advocacy process. The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic will be a subject matter expert on interventions of counseling and peer recovery specialist staff that serve to enhance the development of recovery, natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills. The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic will ensure that the counseling counselors, and peer recovery specialist services emphasize personal safety, self-worth, confidence, and growth, connection to the community, boundary setting, planning, self-advocacy, personal fulfillment, and development of social supports, and effective communication. The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic will monitor that the counseling, and peer recovery specialists' services provided emphasize the acquisition; development; expansion of rehabilitative skills needed to move forward in recovery. The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic will ensure that the counselors, and peer recovery specialists collaborate with the other service providers, such as psychiatry, SOAR, and Homeless Services. If the adult or family are not engaged in and need these other services, the AOP Supervisor will notify the program supervisor/director and help the AOP Clinic team provide education on these services and help to coordinate initiation, as clinically appropriate. If these services are recommended, but the adult or family are not yet willing to engage, this should be documented in the service notes and the AOP Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the documentation. This is a clinic-based position. The Supervisor of Adult Outpatient Clinic is responsible for ensuring a total annual client facing client care number of 25,380 hours combined for all staff, which reflects a minimum of 1,410 annual hours of client facing client care per counselor/therapist (14) and 705 annual hours of client facing client care per peer recovery specialist (4) on the team. Achieving the minimum required weekly, monthly and annual client facing client care hours is an essential function of this positionDirections for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation.EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: * Must hold a Master's Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university with at least 2 years of experience in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, and mental health.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
  • Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW preferred, not required, and must be maintained throughout employment at the employee's expense
  • Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
