
Network Architect

- Develop a strategic network architecture plan; This plan is based on industry best practices, which is secure, scalable, reliable and flexible, ensuring the needs of the business are met
- Provide architectural expertise, direction and assistance to Business Analysts, System Administrators and key business leaders
- Author best practices and white papers documenting and providing feedback to customers of consulting engagements
- Document the company's existing network architecture and technology portfolio; Document key test requirements to ensure networks can be validated by core customers
- Performing the desired function in support of organizational goals and objectives
- Author test plans, engineering and design documents, system recovery documents, policies and procedures
- Provide research on emerging technologies in support of systems development and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility
- Author white papers, and recommendations on new and emerging technologies
- Work as an escalation point for problem resolution for operational systems and deployments
- Respond to production impacts as needed to provide troubleshooting and resolution support to incidents and problems as needed
- CCNP/CCDA certification or equivalent
- 7+ years of work experience
- Experience with on-premises network infrastructure technologies, such as Cisco and firewalls
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution
- Proven experience in voice and data network design and development
- Strong understanding of network security principles
- In-depth technical knowledge of voice and data networking
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws (SOX, PCI, CPCA, etc.)
- Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) or equivalent certification
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python
- Experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and security
- Familiarity with CISCO IOS, CISCO ACI, ASA, CISCO Call Manager, Fortinet Security Fabric, and f5 load balancers
