The production batch analyst provides technical support, maintaining new and existing batch schedules using certain batch scheduling tools. The analyst performs functions with the mainframe and/or a client-server environment, to maintain the batch schedules as well as assist with ongoing technical schedule support to both the application teams and the batch operation team.Responsibilities:Performing batch testing for O&M, new processing, and stress & volume testing for system/software changes. Handling moderate and high complexity batch scheduling assignments.Working under minimal supervision and using established procedures, to ensure integration, scheduling, monitoring, problem resolution, and output control of applications in a multi-environment environment.Performing analysis of Control-M application related to effective utilization and efficient, accurate, and timely computer processing. Including the identification and resolution of service-level problems and mission-critical tasks.Executing ad hoc batch processingHandling abend resolutionMaintaining exception alerting logicSupporting interfaces, including establishing and testing new interfaces, as well as supporting current interfacesModifying production processing for the year-endPlanning and managing batch suspension/resumption for planned and unplanned extended outagesAnalyzing the current batch scheduling setup to determine ways to streamline/automate processingMaintaining production job schedules and managing batch job process operations using BMC Control-M workload automationDesigning and implementing batch processing from test to implementation, including documentation, process flow design, oversight of testing, and coordination and validation of implementationDesign processing set up and maintain master job schedule (run book) to include coordination with all applicable functional and technical teams.Identify processes and procedures to increase productivity and advise team members on improvements and possible alternative tools to increase efficiencyCreating, updating, and maintaining processing documentation, including job creation, failure procedures, and ad hoc processing guidelinesCreating reports using the Control–M/EM Reporting FacilityIntegrating operations best practices into batch and interface Control-M softwareAssuming 24-hour on-call responsibilities for production batch processing and operational issuesIdentifying risks, documenting lessons learned, and managing corrective action plans related to implementation/upgrade and production operations activitiesUtilizing Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, and SQL for developing, troubleshooting, and customizing automation solutionsQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degreeNACI clearance obtainableAbility to script using Unix, SQL, and/or Python.Advanced knowledge of MS Windows, SQL, Linux, Unix, and Solaris working environments, and working knowledge of operating systems (Unix/Linux), networks, and databases (Oracle).Knowledge of SSL certificates, generating CSR, and manage.Knowledge of ERP product scheduling8 years of automated batch scheduling experience with a preference for at least 6 months of Control-M Enterprise scheduling or similar8 years of production control experience (batch scheduling, error resolution, process automation, requirements gathering, processing coordination, and interface design/support)1-year SFTP experience (setting up file transmission configuration files)1 year Unix experience (ability to read shell scripts and perform basic commands, including move and copy)Proficiency in Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, and SQL for developing, troubleshooting, and customizing automation solutionsDesired:Production support experience for government financial systemsControl-M experience or similarSAP ERP system experience or similar-What You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
