We are seeking a skilled Storage Administrator to join our team. This role involves developing expertise in enterprise storage technologies, managing storage requests, configuring systems, troubleshooting complex issues, applying upgrades and fixes, and evaluating new storage technologies. A primary focus will be on storage migrations of file and block-level storage systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Administer SAN and NAS storage environments, including EMC and NetApp technologies.
- Perform storage configuration tasks and handle storage requests efficiently.
- Lead storage migrations from legacy EMC and NetApp platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage system problems.
- Apply software upgrades, patches, and fixes to storage systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new storage products and technologies.
- Collaborate with team members and work independently to meet project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, and external partners.
- Maintain strong customer service orientation and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Use storage utilities such as Unisphere, EMC Replication Manager, AppSync, OnTap, and OnCommand.
- Support and maintain EMC storage systems including VMAX, VNX, and Unity.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Information Technology, with a focus on storage technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years experience with EMC Replication technologies, including EMC Replication Manager and AppSync.
- 5+ years of expertise in SAN administration, specifically with EMC VMAX, VNX, and Unity storage arrays.
- 5+ years Experience in NAS administration using NetApp filers.
- Technical architecture knowledge in SAN, NAS, replication, remote replication, virtualization, and high availability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to learn company-specific software.
- Hands-on experience managing block and file storage migrations.
- Must be a resident of the United States or authorized to work in the US.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism in internal and external interactions.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, hardware, operating systems, and Windows file management.
- Ability to analyze data from automated and manual discovery processes.
