Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Type: Onsite | Temp-to-HirePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for auditing products and processes at various points during production and packaging to ensure adherence to established quality standards. You will also assist with special projects, support compliance with FDA/cGMP standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed quality audits to ensure products meet standards.Perform equipment verifications (metal detector, x-ray, scales, etc.).Review operator paperwork for accuracy and compliance.Document non-compliance issues and follow through with corrective actions.Communicate deviations to QA Supervisor with accurate details.Enter and track results using internal computer systems.Support FDA, cGMP, SQF, HACCP, and Food Quality Plan standards.Collaborate with production and packaging teams to resolve issues.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; BS in Food Science or related field preferred.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.Knowledge of GMP and Quality systems.Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.Ability to read and follow SOPs and test methods.Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.Physical & Work RequirementsStanding for long hours (
