
Manager - Projects and Engineering

- Conduct performance evaluations and oversee staffing needs
- Provide daily operational leadership to engineering, design, and project teams
- Support team members in their career advancement and provide mentorship
- Oversee and develop direct reports spanning various engineering disciplines
- Create a collaborative work environment and drive continuous performance enhancement
- Oversee project schedules, financial planning, and resource distribution
- Establish and uphold organizational standards for superior project delivery
- Guide and supervise various engineering initiatives from start to finish
- Successfully complete ongoing projects and facilitate seamless initiation of new ventures
- Guarantee all projects are delivered comprehensively and in accordance with organizational and engineering protocols
- Identify emerging business opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives
- Maintain and nurture strong partnerships with key client stakeholders
- Act as the main liaison for significant client accounts
- Conduct client site visits (2-6 days monthly) for project monitoring and relationship cultivation
- Deliver outstanding client service and ensure complete satisfaction
- Participate in executive decision-making and senior leadership processes
- Contribute to succession planning initiatives and organizational growth
- Support business expansion efforts and market development strategies
- Assist the President with operational management and strategic planning
- Establish the organization as a leading force in the regional mining industry
- Maintain current knowledge of industry regulations, trends, and best practices
- Ensure engineering designs comply with industry standards and client requirements
- Oversee and approve technical deliverables and project documentation
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout engineering operations
- Uphold professional engineering credentials and certifications
- Mining, mineral, or chemical processing plant knowledge and hands-on experience
- Engineering degree required (Mechanical engineering preferred, other disciplines welcome)
- Proven team leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and emotional intelligence
- Comprehensive project management experience in comparable environments
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- English language proficiency
- Engineering and design office background
- Experience leading projects and teams in technical settings
- Capability to obtain Arizona driver's license for company vehicle usage
- Willingness to complete annual MSHA and site access safety training
- Ability to pass required medical, hearing, and respiratory baseline assessments
- Spanish language capabilities
- International work experience
- Business credentials/MBA qualification
- Business development expertise
- Hands-on operations, maintenance, or production experience
- Salary Range: $180,000 - $225,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
