The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and is responsible for the technical functions of the department’s management of pharmaceutical services.
- Utilizes vaious pharmacy informatics systems, such as Siemens/Cerner Pharmacy, Omnicell, and QS/1.
- Prepares medications in the Inpatient Pharmacy through utilization of technology such as carousel, strip labeling and packaging machines.
- Prepares IV's using barrier isolators and proper aseptic techniques.
- Restocks medications in Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.
Experience Preferred: At least 2 years as a Pharmacy Technician.
Licensure: Indiana Pharmacy Technician license (or elegibility to attain a license).
Certifications: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board licensure (PTCB) which must be obtained within 5 years of accepting position.
Evening shift. 36 hours weekly.
