Logistics Coordinator

Duration: 4+ months
Hybrid: 2 days in, 3 days remote
Role may transition to fully on-site, pending desk space
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week (M-F, 8:30-5 pm)

Performs a variety of administrative functions. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget. Requires a high school diploma with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects
Group: Inbound TransportationPurpose: Inbound transport, managing scheduled pickups, re-routing hauls, resolving issues, data analysis, interacting with other people. Working with several vendors. Hauls = 18 wheelers with freightReason: Backfill. Looking to start as temp and hire as BBTypical Day in the Role:
Day-to-day:
-- Meeting in morning to review plan and recap prior day. Will be assigned to vendors and use excel to track vendor activity. Reach out to vendors to learn issues and resolve. Analyze data. Problem-solving with shipment, i.e. why shipment isn't picked up. One contractor will be working with approx. 50 different vendorsCan you describe their level of interaction with you and others on the team?
