Legal Entity: American Honda Finance Corp.Business Unit: American Honda Finance CorpDivision: Finance & Administration DivisionWork Location: Torrance - Main Campus LocationCareer Level: 4Salary Range: $81,800.00 - $122,700.00Job PurposeEX3 – Sr. Accounting I (HFM)American Honda Finance is currently seeking a Sr. Accountant. This position is the Hyperion Financial Management (AHFC’s consolidation system) Administrator and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting for AHFC on a consolidated basis. This position facilitates the monthly general ledger close meetings and performs analysis of monthly actuals.Key AccountabilitiesKey Accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Produce consolidated financial results using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). As HFM System Administrator, maintain HFM to meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare audit and tax schedules for HM and external auditors, GL account & bank account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly BOFC schedules
  • Analyze and present financial results to AHFC Management and conduct monthly financial close meetings.
  • Assist with preparing/reviewing quarterly footnotes for audited financial statements filed with the SEC
Qualifications, Experience, and SkillsWe are seeking with the following questions
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Accounting, Finance or related major preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience with general ledger, trial balance, financial statements, and consolidation
  • Finance Company experience preferred
Other Job Specific Skills:
  • CPA strongly preferred with 3-5 years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and application of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle HFM consolidation system preferred
  • Strong organization, analytic and communication skills
  • Ability to interface with different levels of the workforce
Salary Grade Base: $81,800-$122,700Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.Working ConditionsWorkstyle: Onsite - Torrance location
