Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN/PMHNP) to join our mental health practice. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to clients across the lifespan, with a strong focus on children and adolescents. You will work collaboratively with therapists and other providers to ensure integrated, patient-centered care, addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other behavioral health concerns.Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Develop and implement individualized medication management plans.
  • Monitor treatment response, side effects, and adherence, making adjustments as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on psychiatric medications, potential side effects, and treatment expectations.
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and school-based professionals when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development.
  • Provide crisis intervention support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted APRN or PMHNP license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting is required.
  • Ability to practice independently (must not require MD collaboration in the state of Connecticut).
  • Valid and current DEA registration.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must agree to be 1099/Independent Contractor with a competitive percentage split compensation model.
