If interested in exploring this great opportunity, please apply directly at .Veterans are encouraged to apply.Position Details:Supplier Quality Assurance SpecialistLocation: Rochester, NYHours: Day shift, Mon-Fri (some overtime possible)Pay: $23-25/hrDuration:.3-6 month contract (W2 Only)Who We're Looking For:The primary responsibility of the Supplier Quality Assurance Technician is to assist in managing the inspection and NCMR process for all parts/components involved with the manufacturing process. This includes performing incoming inspections, disposition parts and regular communications internally and possibly external. This position works closely with both supplier quality engineers and manufacturing engineers to help maintain and report on supplier quality issues.What to Expect:
  • Aid in creation and editing revisions of incoming inspection procedures to assure high quality products are received.
  • Inspects and verifies incoming product against critical documented specifications.
  • Performs manual inspection using hand tools and computer aided measurement systems.
  • Creating Discrepant Material Reports and communicating with suppliers
  • Maintain quality records and participate in quality audits as needed
  • Track and maintain calibration of measuring equipment
  • Notifies internal engineering staff of non-conformances detected and reports on corrective actions from suppliers.
  • Utilize computer systems such as MicroSoft Office, SAP and Master Control.
Qualifications for Success:Required:
  • Minimum 2-year technical degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of demonstrated testing, inspection or quality control experience
  • Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers
  • Comfortable reading prints and drawings
  • Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, database entry, and email communications
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of SAP, Master Control and working in a regulated industry.
  • ASQ Certification
