This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting for the organization and various departments and assists the Controller in preparing the Annual Financial Audit. This role requires ongoing financial data analysis and reporting on overall financial performance and trends. The Accounting Supervisor is expected to collaborate, mentor, and work with Finance Team Members, as well as other departments, on projects as requested.Responsibilities and DutiesFinancial Reporting: Prepare period, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements for the bank and tax accountants.Accounting: Create journal entries, account reconciliation and financial reports for the various entities. Coordinate the efforts of accounts payable and accounts receivable.Compliance: Assist the Controller with coordinating the annual external audit; work with tax advisors and regulatory agencies as needed.Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and support audit processes.Team Leadership: Mentor and train members of the accounting/finance team.Strategic Partnership: Collaborate on financial processes and reporting requirements.System Management: Maintain the NetSuite ERP system, including reporting, workflows, and integration with other platforms.Qualifications and RequirementsEducation· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).· CPA or MBA a plus.Experience· 4 years minimum of progressive accounting/finance experience.· Supervisory experience preferred.· Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP a plus.Skills and Competencies· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.· Strong accounting, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.· Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite or similar).· Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.· Proven ability to streamline processes and implement system improvements.· High integrity, dependability, and a results-oriented mindset.Compensation and Benefits· Salary Range: Competitive, commensurate with experience (specific range available upon request).· Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD, retirement plan (after 1 year of service), paid time off, and profit sharing.Physical Aspects and Work EnvironmentEssential Job FunctionsTo successfully perform the Accounting Supervisor role, an individual must be able to execute the essential duties outlined in the Responsibilities and Duties section with or without reasonable accommodations. Must interpret technical instructions and manage abstract and concrete variables in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment· Office Setting: The role is primarily performed in a professional office environment in Ohio.
