Here’s the GistThe Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for managing multiple reliability projects which will include determination of reliability requirements, creating reliability test plan, analyzing test results (using statistical software like jmp), driving various reliability science projects and presenting the results internally and externally to achieve company’s, customer’s reliability objectives.*This is a hybrid role for Marcy, NY. We will consider those open to starting in Durham, NC and then relocating to Marcy, NY.The Day-to-Day
  • Provide daily reliability technical support for SiC MOSFET, Schottky diodes and Power Module.
  • Determine reliability requirements, suggest and develop various reliability tests, analyze test results (using statistical software like jmp) and present/write the reliability/ qualification report to achieve company’s, customer’s reliability objectives.
  • Heavily involved in interaction with cross-functional teams to assure the early identification of potential problems, characterize any new failure modes and through new acceleration techniques and statistical model develop predictive life extrapolations leading to the successful implementation of new technology, products, packages and processes.
  • Represent Reliability in Process change review board meetings, suggest proper reliability tests & guide it until the goal is met.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)
  • Masters’ or PhD degree in Electrical engineering, Physics, Material science and/or related fields with a minimum of 5-10 years of direct experience in the field of Reliability Engineering.
  • Must have a strong background in semiconductor device reliability tests and procedures such as HTOL, TC, THB, HTRB, and various accelerated lifetime tests etc.
  • Experience with JEDEC and AECQ-101 test standards and know the science behind them.
  • Device/ Material knowledge of SiC or other semiconductor power devices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Hands on with Reliability test systems and ability to troubleshoot if needed.
  • Experience in writing reports and presenting technical data and information to a wide outer audience with potential of representing the company through publication and conference presentations.
  • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations
