Caregiver - Companion Care

- Provide protection to our client in their homes
- Assist with planning and preparing daily nutritious meals and in feeding client, as appropriate
- Light housekeeping of client’s environment, including linens and making bed
- Laundering client’s clothing and bedding
- Assisting clients with shopping
- Feeding clients pets
- Watering client’s plants
- Transport clients to appointments and other important outings in a safe and timely manner
- Transferring and ambulation (bed to chair, wheelchair and shower, etc.)
- Medication assistance/reminders
- Assist with reminders for home Physical Therapy exercises/exercise plan
- Use equipment and supplies safely
- Engage with client in favorite activities including: conversation, hobbies, activities, board games and other types of activities for the client.
- Monitor, observe, and encourage range of motion exercises and other procedures as instructed by any professional staff.
- Maintain a written log with receipts of all client money used to purchase goods or materials for the client’s care.
- Report any changes in client’s condition to the Supervisor right away.
- Document care provided consistent with agency requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Self-motivated, with a dedication to keeping up to date technically.
- No experience required!! We can provide all required training
- High school diploma or educational equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have safe and reliable transportation to go to and from the client’s location and/or facilities in order to assist clients with shopping needs if required
- Physical ability and stamina to work long hours
- Preferred:
- At least one year of experience working in home health care, supporting a loved one, customer service experience
- Valid and current state driver’s license and insurance
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift, move, and assist clients. If you feel you cannot safely lift the client, please notify the office immediately.
- Ability to safely assist client in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50 lbs into and out of a vehicle.
- Able to communicate with others in a friendly, courteous, compassionate manner and to accurately exchange information.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
- Able to operate office equipment such as a computer, phone, etc.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Able to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking and driving.
- Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
