- Lead and oversee QA Analysts in the delivery of test design, test execution, test library maintenance, and test closure results through advanced manual and/or automated grey-box test approaches.
- Facilitate builds and assist the release manager in the end-to-end release process for mobile game platforms to ensure deployment stability across all environments.
- Work closely with external contractors and developers as well as internal Production, Marketing, Engineering, and Design.
- Strategically validate and improve the creation of test plans across relevant test methodologies, including but not limited to data validation, regression testing, integration testing, and performance/load testing.
- Partner with other developers in the creation of requirements so that they can be effectively tested.
- Accountable for adhering to department SLAs within project management (Jira), test-related (TestRail), and version control (Github) tools and systems.
- Use appropriate measures and KPIs to proactively validate and report on software quality.
- Be a creative thinker who can quickly and thoroughly identify and implement workflow and procedure optimizations.
- Be a mentor and role model to help others develop appropriate knowledge and skills through training and constructive feedback.
- Act and facilitate the resolution of issues for yourself and the team.
- Research, recommend, and adopt tools as needed with the goal of increasing test coverage through automation.
- Advocate for the user experience through the delivery of qualitative reporting.
- Represent Warner Brothers through public-facing quality assurance activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (or ~4 years of equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing.
- Leadership and/or management experience coordinating a team of internal and external QA resources.
- Advanced understanding of the SDLC, specifically QA and Release processes in agile and waterfall development environments.
- Extensive experience with defect/bug tracking (Jira) and test planning (TestRail).
- Highly adept at using source control (Git) in a production environment.
- Experience with game engines, content and asset editors, and shared technologies.
- Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and act on data sets and complex workflows.
- Strong communication, organization, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Passion for games and software quality.
- Clear/Open/White box testing experience.
- Experience managing mobile distribution across major platforms.
- High-level of gaming knowledge and/or skill.
- Test automation experience.
- Passion for and knowledge of Warner Bros. IPs, including characters, environments, and lore.
