Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Location: Greenville, South CarolinaCompany: Luxus BuildIndustry: Staffing & Employer of Record (EOR) ServicesSalary: $160,000 - $250,000 (DOE)Position OverviewThe CFO will report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in the strategic direction and financial management of the company. The ideal candidate must have deep experience in the staffing and EOR space, with a strong command of margin control, gross profit management, payroll funding cycles, and client billing structures. This executive will oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, risk management, and compliance, while also serving as a strategic advisor on mergers, acquisitions, and new service lines.Key Responsibilities? Financial Strategy & Leadership? Develop and execute financial strategies that support aggressive growth and profitability.? Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and executive team.? Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor financial health and operational performance.? Accounting & Financial Operations? Lead all accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, payroll reconciliation, and month-end close.? Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.? Implement systems and processes for scalability and transparency.? Staffing & EOR-Specific Responsibilities? Manage payroll funding cycles and cash flow in a high-volume, rapid-growth environment.? Optimize gross margin through pricing, cost control, and vendor management strategies.? Ensure compliance with multi-state employment tax rules and benefits administration.? Oversee client invoicing models based on time and materials, fixed-fee, and mark-up structures.? Risk & Compliance? Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws, DOL regulations, and employment policies.? Maintain strong internal controls and safeguard company assets.? Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as needed.? Investor & Capital Management? Support capital raising efforts including lender relations, investor reporting, and due diligence.? Forecast working capital requirements based on revenue cycles and payroll obligations.? Assist in evaluating M&A opportunities and conducting financial modeling.Qualifications? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).? Minimum 10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in staffing and/or EOR environments.? Deep knowledge of staffing metrics: gross margin, bill/pay spreads, workers’ comp, and payroll tax compliance.? Experience managing multi-state payroll and workforce funding.? Proven track record of improving cash flow, reducing costs, and driving profitability.? Strong systems and process thinker; experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bullhorn, or similar platforms preferred.? Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
