As we expand, we’re seeking a hands-on, field-driven leader to oversee operations and client satisfaction across the tri-state region.Position OverviewWe’re hiring a Field Director to lead day-to-day field operations for our janitorial division. This is a high-travel, people-facing role responsible for managing client accounts, leading field teams, and driving operational execution across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a deep understanding of janitorial services. This role reports directly to the COO.The Ideal Candidate
  • Brings 3–5+ years of team leadership and operations management
  • Has experience managing large-scale janitorial or service-based field teams
  • Thrives in a client-facing, high-accountability environment
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Familiar with union labor dynamics (32BJ a plus)
  • Conversational in Yiddish or Spanish preferred
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
Manage and coach field managers and supervisors
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and performance for field staff
  • Lead weekly field operations meetings
  • Drive team accountability and continuous improvement
Account Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key clients
  • Manage new job walk-throughs, setups, and job scope planning
  • Oversee job budgets and timelines
  • Build and grow relationships to drive retention and upsell services
Operations Oversight
  • Monitor field team performance and resolve issues proactively
  • Review weekly payroll for compliance and accuracy
  • Generate and support marketing and growth campaigns
  • Communicate field updates to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years in operations, field management, or service industry leadership
  • Proven ability to lead and grow high-performing teams
  • Strong communication and customer service mindset
  • Tech-savvy: time tracking, CRM/PO systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of janitorial procedures and job costing best practices

  • 95% travel across the Tri-State region
  • Hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to manage multiple job sites, teams, and client accounts
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Strong follow-up and client service instincts
