My client is seeking a candidate to lead technical initiatives across extrusion, coating, and lamination processes, with a focus on trial management, process optimization, and product performance. The position also supports operations, quality, and customer needs while driving continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing.This role will report directly into the Plant Manager and be responsible for:
  • Managing production trials and ensuring successful scale-up of new materials and products
  • Developing and optimizing processes for extrusion, coating, and lamination operations
  • Collaborating with operations, engineering, and quality teams to resolve technical issues
  • Supporting customer needs through product testing, technical analysis, and onsite visits when needed
  • Overseeing material formulations and ensuring documentation systems are accurate and up to date
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements
  • Assisting with troubleshooting equipment and coordinating with vendors or OEMs as necessary
  • Guiding and supporting technical staff through training, performance reviews, and process alignment
  • Contributing to quality initiatives, audits, and compliance with industry standards

  • 10+ years of Manufacturing experience, preferably in a Cast Extrusion or Paper Production facility
  • Web handling, packaging, TPV/PVC films, chemical, packaging, lamination, coatings, nonwovens/wovens, digital/flexographic printing, paper substrates, etc. familiarity
  • Strong mechanical and technical experience
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Attention to detail and communication skills
  • Bilingual a plus
