Class DescriptionThe purpose of this class is to perform administrative and technical work in support of the College's computing and/or network infrastructure.Minimum RequirementsAssociates degree and three years of experience in systems engineering or computer related field. Knowledge of operating system installation, security, and configuration. Knowledge of application installation and end user provisioning and security, LDAP concepts, SAN concepts, desktop and server patch management.Class Specific Essential Duties
  • Provide technical support for the Information Technology department and ongoing projects.
  • Serve as a member of the team which provides Tier III support to the Support Center, including the Help Desk.
  • Assist with problem support for systems software and hardware support for problems escalated by the Support Center and Help Desk Analysts.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Perform information technology security risk assessments, incident response, and remediation.
  • Provide support for upgrades, rollouts and special projects, and events, as required.
  • Troubleshoot server problems.
  • Ensure stability of Windows and Linux servers throughout routine maintenance.
  • Coordinate new server software installations.
  • Prototype new software.
  • Maintain SAN and email environments.

The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
