- Lead initiatives to enhance mill facilities and work processes, focusing on operational efficiency, safety, compliance, quality, cost, and schedule objectives, while addressing gaps identified through audits.
- Participate in safety assessments, investigations, and contractor coordination during construction phases to uphold safety standards and mitigate risks.
- Manage projects, including electrical systems, and tackle field engineering challenges outside typical planning scope, providing practical solutions without requiring full-scale project execution.
- Produce, review, and verify engineering design details using AutoCAD/SolidWorks, develop scopes of work, and design, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems with tools like EasyPower.
- Provide technical and engineering expertise to maintenance and operations teams, including diagnosing and resolving electrical issues (e.g., PLCs, drives, automation systems) and developing, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC programs to optimize performance.
- Develop and review preventative maintenance tasks with appropriate frequencies to prevent failures and perform root cause failure analysis to resolve electrical system issues effectively.
- Conduct load calculations, motor sizing, equipment and drive upgrades (including variable speed drives), and operational efficiency improvements, while executing tasks driven by operational and planner requests.
- Use SAP for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management, ensure accurate project documentation, and support construction, startup, and commissioning activities for successful project implementation.
- Electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
- Experience implementing NFPA 70®, National Electrical Code® (NEC®).
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
- Pulp & Paper industry experience.
