- Pay: $40.86 - $63.33 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
- Bachelor's of Nursing degree from an accredited or state board of nursing approved nursing program. Preferred: MSN.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred: Bariatric certification.
- 5 years of nursing experience with 2 years bariatric experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Provides leadership for the bariatric program including planning, collaborating with departments and physicians, and promoting the program to the community. Manages bariatric strategic plan development and implementation, and oversees outcomes measurements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the regional bariatric program. Identifies program needs and implements strategies to improve processes and quality.
- Ensures criteria to maintain entity designations. Serves as liaison for site visits. Monitors patient outcome data and develops plans for quality and customer service improvement. Assists with physician integration into the program. Maintains data in national research database.
- Trains staff to effectively use and apply established pathways. Assists with planning and vision for the future of bariatrics. Oversees bariatric program expansion including inpatient, outpatient and weight loss or lifestyle management strategies.
- Conducts equipment and environment assessment and serves as a resource for staff. Evaluates education needs and provides education to patients and the community. Leads support groups. Supervises bariatric staff, including hiring, terminating, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Supervises the Bariatric Navigator program.
