- Responsible for month-end and year-end closing of all plant financials, preparing journal entries and working with Senior Finance Business Partner (Sr FBP) and SSC to ensure accurate financials are submitted to Group within the close deadline
- Responsible for preparing and submitting monthly KPI data
- Distribute open capex reports monthly, review open projects, and work with the plants to close projects timely
- Assist General Managers and Engineering with capex project request forms and justification
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by SSC on a monthly basis
- Review bi-weekly customer ageing report and work with credit controller and plant to resolve issues timely
- Review weekly sales submissions by Plants and submit NA HIP data to Divisional Finance
- Responsible for preparing budget / forecast templates, working with Sr FBP, General Managers, Sales and Vice Presidents to complete for each site
- Visit plants and perform sample testing to ensure they are following proper procedures in billing, purchasing, pricing, credit terms/limits review, fixed asset tracking/review, inventory tracking/review and GRNI reporting.
- Provide accounting & analytical support to Sr FBP, Office Managers, General Managers and Vice Presidents
- Assist with internal / external audit queries
- Perform other tasks as directed by Sr FBP or VP Finance
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred.
- 2-5 years experience in accounting functions, preferably from a multi-site company
- Experience with finance software, preferably Hyperion, SAP or Navision would be an advantage, but not essential
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, working with wider Divisional Finance team based in the UK, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism
- Good planning, organizational, time management, follow-up and follow-through skills
- Must possess analytical skills and be able to effectively work within a dynamic team environment
- Must be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision and handle confidential information with utmost discretion
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines & time constraints
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language
- Must be willing to travel when requested based on the needs of the business
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
