- Leading Recruitment: Take charge of all recruitment efforts for both full-time employees and contractors, working closely with staffing vendors and leadership to find the best talent.
- Managing the Employee Lifecycle: Oversee the entire HR operational lifecycle, from generating offer letters and conducting background checks to new hire onboarding (including E-Verify and initial processing), drug testing, and offboarding.
- Supporting Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration, including updating employee information, reviewing invoices, serving as a liaison for managed benefits, and participating in renewal and open enrollment processes.
- Overseeing Time and Attendance: Maintain, prepare, review, and follow up on attendance timesheets, coordinating with employees, managers, payroll, and vendors.
- Driving Employee Development: Champion learning and development initiatives at the site, ensuring employees are well-informed about available opportunities.
- Processing Leave Requests: Accurately enter various leave requests into payroll systems, including vacation, holidays, bereavement, jury duty, FMLA, military leave, and general leaves of absence.
- Maintaining HR Documentation: Process documentation and prepare essential reports related to staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and performance evaluations.
- Addressing Employee Inquiries: Serve as the primary contact for employee questions regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations.
- Supporting Payroll: Provide backup assistance to the Payroll Coordinator as needed.
- Administering 401(k) Plans: Lead 401(k) administration, including updating employee information, managing the distribution process, and ensuring year-end compliance.
- Tracking Employee Changes: Maintain accurate lists of new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Managing Job Descriptions: Keep job description records up-to-date and coordinate with hiring managers for revisions.
- Updating Policies and Procedures: Maintain and update the Employee Handbook, site-specific policies, and procedures.
- Handling Unemployment Claims: Respond to and follow through on all unemployment claims.
- Facilitating Performance Management: Drive the performance evaluation process with managers and maintain relevant performance records.
- Fostering Site Culture: Lead site HR activities to cultivate a cohesive culture that aligns with regional goals and ensures all team members understand the broader vision.
- Taking on Additional Responsibilities: Handle other duties and functions as assigned to support the HR team.
- A Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of HR experience are preferred.
- A strong understanding of federal and state employment law.
- Proven experience in recruitment and the I-9 verification process.
- A proactive, positive, and open-minded attitude, with a willingness to learn.
- The flexibility to attend meetings in the evening or early morning to coordinate with our HQ team in Singapore.
