Local Tool and Equipment Dept. Assistant - PerryvilleThe Tool & Equipment Dept. Assistant will primarily support the efforts of Maintenance personnel, organizing and distributing tools, as well as maintaining shop, yard, and equipment in Perryville, MO.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
Assist the Tool and Equipment Department personnel
Clean and organize the shop, warehouse, and storage yard
Clean trucks, trailers, and equipment
Unload, inspect, verify, and store incoming deliveries
Pull tools and supplies for jobsites
Load trucks and trailers for new projects
Unload trucks and trailers at end of projects
Restock tools and supplies into the inventory
Make deliveries with company vehicle
Assist with loading and securing equipment for transport
Assist mechanics as requested
Assist on construction sites as requested
Assist with building and grounds maintenance as requested
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required
Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Energetic, self-starter and willing to learn
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and a forklift
Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform physical work
Ability to complete paper and digital forms and reports
Must be able to effectively read and interpret information
Ability to work successfully as a team and independently with moderate supervision
Must possess valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds for long periods of time
Coordinate eye-hand movements with control and precision
Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
Climb and maintain body balance on ladders and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
Stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to fumes, dust or other airborne particles
May be exposed to loud noises
May be exposed to extreme outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
