They keep people and projects running smoothly, ensuring every part of our business is provided for and well taken care of.GENERAL FUNCTIONThis position will manage the consistent application of the Company's compensation policies and practices. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the compensation infrastructure tools and data, including pay ranges and job codes. Leads various corporate-wide compensation initiatives, including total cash compensation analysis, salary survey submission and analysis, job evaluations, change management, and data analysis and reporting.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supports the annual merit / salary review program for North America and collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to ensure systems, communications, and outcomes delivered effectively to meet internal expectations & guidelines.
  • Leads the participation in external consultant salary surveys and monitors survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are met. Analyzes data trends and submits recommendations to management.
  • Analyzes and maintains pay ranges and geographic differentials for the US and Canada.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for job evaluation and leveling methodology, drawing on experience from utilizing multiple external consultant strategies.
  • Monitors effectiveness of existing practices and recommends changes that are consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Provides support to integrations in NA for newly acquired and legacy EssilorLuxottica Group companies.
  • Provides support to HR Business Partners in the job evaluation process, ensuring internal equity and external market competitiveness relative to corporate strategy.
  • Partners with other teams such as HRIS, IT, and Finance & Accounting to ensure compensation information is accurate and is obtained/provided in a timely manner.
  • Identifies system and/or program enhancements in response to internal audits and provides recommendations to management.
  • Compile data from several resources to create a series of dashboards to effectively communicate key trends and insights to internal leadership, leading to data-driven decision making and improved business performance.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of Compensation experience in progressive roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding compensation consultant job evaluation and survey methodologies (e.g., Aon Hewitt, Korn Ferry Hay Group, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of compensation terminology and philosophies
  • Knowledge of legal requirements relating to HR
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Analytical/Mathematical skills, ability to interpret and communicate data.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to drive change and influence HRBPs and business leaders.
  • Ability to work with confidential data and sensitive material.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, often in time-critical situations with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working for a multinational company.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Experience working with SAP, SuccessFactors, and MS Access (or other database software)
