
Receiving Material Handler

- Collaborate in teams of 2 to 4 to unload merchandise from delivery trucks and shipping containers.
- Stage merchandise on carts in preparation for transport to shipping staging areas or storage racks. Examples of merchandise are sofas, sectionals, power lift chairs, mattresses, bedroom furniture, dressers, bookcases, dining tables, chairs, etc.
- Showcase your ability to perform and provide value as a team member.
- Gain understanding of productivity standards and time management skills.
- Learn proper handling of materials and merchandise to minimize damage and injury.
- Contribute to company safety culture by adherence to safety policies.
- Maintain a clean work environment free from tripping hazards.
- Salary starts at $17.50 per hour

- Previous warehouse experience a plus
- Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable.
- Overnight, Sunday – Thursday [time] to completion
- Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
- You must have the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move furniture up to 150 pounds while unloading trucks and loading/unloading flatbeds, and utilize proper material handling techniques.
