- Works under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist.
- Keep track and list medications that need to be ordered from wholesalers.
- Keep track of Pharmacy refrigerator and records temperature daily.
- Fills automated dispensing devices daily under the direction of the Pharmacist.
- Assist with collection and input of P. I. improvement data when requested by Pharmacist.
- Completes Nursing Unit inspections monthly.
- Orders medication from wholesaler when needed.
- Re-packages and labels bulk medications as required
- Fill Physician medication orders under the direction of the Pharmacist.
- Deliver medications to units as required and monitors floor stock medication levels.
- Assist with preparation of various reports as needed.
- Receive medications from wholesalers; places ID stickers on medications and puts medications on shelves.
- Add invoices from wholesales to purchase orders.
- Fills discharge medication orders under the direction of the Pharmacist.
- Assists with computer order entry of medication orders and other tasks, as needed under the direction of Pharmacist.
- Generates Hospital computer reports for physicians, infection control, Dietary, and Pharmacy as needed.
- Picks up medications orders and delivers to the Nursing units.
- Add missing data and update electronic patient drug profile.
- Check medications stored in Pharmacy/Nursing unit and remove expired and/or improperly labeled medications.
- Remove unneeded medications from patient drawers.
- Attends hospital mandatory training/inservices as required in a timely manner.
- Follows hospital expectations regarding Time and Attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
- Valid and current fully licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan.
- 1-2 years of work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting preferred.
