Transportation Provider Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Assist residents on & off the bus, utilizing proper lifting technique, gait belt use, etc.
  • Ensure all residents are properly secured as required.
  • Load/unload packages, groceries, etc. belonging to the resident(s) being transported.
  • Monitor the corporate transportation calendar daily and arrange schedule accordingly.
  • Maintain the facility bus/car - clean it inside and out, monitor and schedule maintenance per the manufacturer's recommendation.
  • Record all service needs or repairs to the bus on Share Point in the designated location.
  • Assist with basic maintenance duties (all sites) as assigned.
  • Assist materials supplies department as assigned.
  • Drive the facility bus/car for activities, doctor appointments.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all residents, staff, and organization information.
Transportation Provider Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be insurable under the Shepherd of the Valley auto insurance policy.
  • CPR/first aid certified.

  • Must successfully complete SOV's Driver's Safety Training Program.
  • Must have a current Ohio driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must maintain a satisfactory driving record during entirety of employment and driving violations will be immediately reported to the Corporate Risk Manager.
  • Must be insurable under the company auto insurance policy and maintain insurability.
