- Lead and grow LiRo-Hill’s Bridge Inspection practice across our regions of operation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with NYCDOT and other key transportation agencies.
- Proactively engage in business development, proposal preparation, and pursuit strategies.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering and inspection staff for both technical and professional growth.
- Oversee staffing plans, project assignments, and performance reviews.
- Track and manage project financial performance and revenue projections on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Represent LiRo-Hill at industry conferences, professional associations, and client events.
- Manage and oversee NBIS bridge inspection projects, ensuring compliance with FHWA and city/state DOT requirements, as applicable.
- Supervise field inspection teams, review inspection reports, and ensure QA/QC of deliverables.
- Lead coordination with local, state, and regional transportation agencies.
- Serve as Team Leader on select projects, conducting site visits and inspections, including hands-on and rope access methods as needed.
- Provide technical guidance, problem-solving, and recommendations related to structural condition, maintenance, and rehabilitation.
- Support integration of bridge inspection data into asset management and planning systems.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 12+ years of progressive experience in bridge inspection and structural engineering
- At least 5 years of recent bridge inspection experience as a Team Leader
- New York Professional Engineer (PE) license required (NJ PE a plus)
- Active FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training Certification (2-Week Bridge Safety Training and/or Refresher Course required at time of hire)
- Direct experience with NYCDOT bridge inspection programs (NYSDOT and NJDOT experience preferred)
- Familiarity with additional agencies including TBTA, PANYNJ, NYCT, LIRR, and other NY/NJ transportation agencies (preferred, not required)
- Physically capable of performing tasks associated with bridge inspection, including working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other access equipment
- Strong knowledge of NBIS requirements and AASHTO/AASHTOWare Bridge Management protocols
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, manage inspection teams, and coordinate large-scale inspection programs

- Compensation: Minimum: $165,000 – Maximum: $185,000. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
