- Provides Process Architecture expertise to the Wood Life Science Line of Business
- Provides Process Architecture technical support to the Wood Architectural and Engineering teams
- Provides planning, programming, feasibility and concept design expertise to our clients
- Actively participates in industry forums and trade shows
- Supports the sales team with proposals and client presentations
- Cultivates and develops client relationships
- Coordinates with our Process Engineering department to provide sound design solutions for our clients
- Coordinates with our global Life Science offices
- Mentors the architectural design team
- Supports, guides, and directs the architectural team through all phases of design: initial programming, planning, feasibility & concept development, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction documentation.
- Coordinates and collaborates on architectural deliverables with Global Life Science offices
- May serve as the Architect of Record on key projects
- Helps to establish a culture of technical excellence through role modelling and communicating expectations.
- Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices
- Bachelor of Architecture (5-year program) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) from an accredited NAAB university
- Architectural licensure and NCARB certification are required.
- More than 15 years of applicable experience in facility design and planning.
- Industry expert in Process Architecture with proven track record of success.
- Expert knowledge of building codes, construction processes and specification writing.
- Expert knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements is required including Annex 1 implementation strategies.
- Working knowledge of the following software packages (Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft office & Sketchup)
- Flexibility to travel (~10%) is required.
- International experience is a plus.
