Kforce has a client in Palm Beach Gardens, FL that is seeking a Software/Data Engineer. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer/Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the expansion and enhancement of our predictive analytics platform. This role offers the opportunity to work with mission-critical data pipelines and cloud infrastructure that directly impacts NextEra's operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Source Integration: Research and explore new data sources, understanding their interfaces and APIs
  • ETL Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a central database
  • API Development: Modify and extend our existing API infrastructure to provide additional CRUD endpoints supporting new data types and features
  • DevOps & Infrastructure: Maintain and enhance DevOps procedures, including containerization and deployment of ECS Tasks, Step Functions, and related data pipelines on AWS infrastructure
  • 2+ years of software engineering experience
  • Intermediate Python programming skills
  • Data Library Expertise: i.e. numpy, pandas, and polars
  • Database Proficiency: Comfort with relational databases and SQL
  • AWS Cloud Experience: Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git workflows and collaborative development practices
  • API Knowledge: Solid understanding of REST API design principles and implementation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Languages: Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Framework Experience: Familiarity with Nest.JS API framework
  • ORM Expertise: Experience with database libraries such as TypeORM and SQLAlchemy
  • CI/CD Pipeline Experience: Prior work with GitHub Actions for DevOps automation
  • AWS Certification: AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solutions Architect
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
