Shift Hours: Full-Time, Day ShiftAbout the RoleOur client, a well-established leader in custom machinery and automation solutions, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects from concept to completion, collaborating with vendors, manufacturing teams, and end users to deliver high-quality, effective solutions. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update solids-based designs using AutoCAD Inventor (SolidWorks also acceptable)Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and ensure designs meet operational needsPartner with vendors to specify and purchase components and solutionsGenerate bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing drawings for production teamsWork with manufacturing staff to troubleshoot and resolve design or vendor-related issuesMaintain and update technical documents, specifications, and design filesIndependently manage multiple projects while meeting deadlinesCommunicate effectively with team members, vendors, and end users through clear written and oral communicationQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldProficiency in solids-based design software; AutoCAD Inventor preferred, SolidWorks acceptableDemonstrated ability to gather and translate user requirements into functional designsStrong vendor management and problem-solving skillsExperience generating BOMs and technical drawings for manufacturingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
