- Performing inspections and initiating supporting documentation for all discipline system installations on an ongoing basis.
- Providing support to field supervision in establishing requirements for workforce, tools, equipment, and material requirements for a given work evolution.
- Developing installation work packages for scopes of work in support of the construction schedule.
- Preparing short- and long-term schedules, and interfacing with superintendents and other discipline field engineers.
- Executing field material takeoffs from "Issued for Construction" drawings.
- Providing input to the quantity tracking applications and reporting on weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.
- Actively leading and participating in the 'People Based Quality (PBQ)' and the 'Build it Clean Program.
- Preparing field material requisitions for equipment and materials, and monitoring status of purchase orders and deliveries.
- Assisting field procurement in receipt inspection and reporting of associated equipment and materials and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Trouble-shooting the design, resolving issues with engineering and/or fabricator using formal field documentation processes.
- Ensuring all installations are per latest revisions of design drawings, specifications, standards, and codes.
- Completing and verifying quality documentation per inspection and test plans.
- Completing and reviewing as-built documentation Monitoring actual work performance compared to the project budget and schedule.
- Providing “day-to-day” direction and coaching to direct reports.
- Monitors and directs subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors' management staff within the area of responsibility.
- Role supports on large projects of high complexity with multiple stakeholders' involvement.
- Reviews and monitors subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Reviews and approves where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, staffing charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Leads the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules.
- Coordinates with other subcontractors and external stakeholders (or subcontractors) to plan construction schedules.
- Participates in the review of project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.
- Prepares/ reviews of field change documents and requests for information.
- Supports Contracts with verification of change notices and amendments.
- May assist in the preparation of material and installation portions of subcontract bid packages.
- Coordinates Contractor material deliveries and storage of materials.
- Ensures work methods planned and executed safely.
- Proactively consider continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
- Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
- Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
- Develops core understanding of ES&H CPs.
- Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
- Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
- Coordinates with Design on constructability issues.
- Coordinates the preparation of the testing processes and required test equipment.
- Inspects installed components for technical acceptance.
- Participates in development of Commodity Installation means and methods.
- Develops understanding of industry / International Codes & Standards applicable to work scope.
- Utilizes and leverages applicable automation software and processes as applicable.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
- Maintain, promote, and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft.
- Able to work extended work schedules and night shift as required to support the project execution plans and schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
- Demonstrable commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
- Must have work authorization within the United States of America.
